Het werk start op beweeglijke wijze en in dialoogvorm, waarbij verschillende instrumentgroepen elkaar afwisselen met korte virtuose melodieën. Het maestoso (grootse) middengedeelte bevat een ronde en warme orkestklank die zich op een kleurrijke manier ontwikkeld naar een kleinere instrumentgroep, waarbij de dialoog tussen twee solo instrumenten centraal staat. Het slotgedeelte combineert korte gejaagde frases in dialoogvorm, een muzikale melodische lijn en warme klanken. Deze ingrediënten worden ingezet om een opbouw te creëren naar een energiek en flitsend slot. 
IntroMotion is opgedragen aan C.M.V. Concordia Drachten, die vanwege haar winst tijdens de Open Nederlandse Fanfarekampioenschappen (ONFK) in 2024 een compositieopdracht aangeboden kreeg vanuit de organisatie van deze kampioenschappen.
